It's snowing right now in eastern Pennsylvania. Before the night is done, we are to expect 6 to 12 inches of snow. And then comes colder than usual temperatures. Not the kind one gets in Montana or North Dakota or Manitoba, of course. But too chilly for us. The cold and snow are expected to stay on the ground into next month, because temperatures are not forecast to rise above the freezing point. For eastern Pennsylvania, that's quite remarkable.
