The Moral Majority

Rev Falwell is gone but the irorny lives on. This is from his Liberty University Bio:

"...with the impetus of the newly organized Moral Majority, millions of people of faith voted for the first time in 1980 and helped elect Ronald Reagan..."

If you get the bolded parts good for you and feel free to comment...if you don't well..better luck next time

Border Patrol

Oh fer the millennium. That’s what Mexico is here in the US with another 2-0 loss in Arizona last night. With some impeccable positioning, Tim Howard continued a 700+ minute shutout streak the US has vs. Mexico on home soil. Oh yeah!!!

Politics: Framing an Issue

Most of the time democrats lose the debate. Not because of the fact don't support their argument, but mostly because they allow their opponents to frame the issue in such a manner that their facts don't fit the public's perception. Like the speaker of the House and the Senate Majority leader though, this is changing. John Edwards has recently called the sending of more troops "The McCain Doctrine". This frames the debate in a way which further associates the Iraq war with republicans, and highlights the differences between him and other potential candidates. This is a smart bit a strategy and one I hope he continues to employ all the way to a new address.
