The 29-year-old Brooklyn resident's first music video, "I Am Not," reached #1 on Logo TV's "The Checkist." In his latest video, "Calculated," Gleason acts as composer, vocalist, backup band, producer and sound mixer.
A self-described "queer rocker," Gleason performs in numerous venues, from clubs to gay events such as Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. He has overcome incredible hurdles in his life--from a severe speech impediment as a toddler to bipolar disorder as an adult--to gain a growing following in the indie rock scene. Last month The Huffington Post published an interview with him about his life and music. Check it out.
Visit his Web site and his Facebook fan page for more about him and his music. And, if you happen to be in the Philadelphia area, you may wish to know that he is scheduled to perform on February 15 at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, opening for soul singer Brian Owens.
To be honest, I ran across his body (well, not literally, I'm afraid) before I heard his music. Next Door magazine posted some nude photos of him recently, but before we get to that, here are a few glimpses of recent performances.
